Customizing Your Motorcycle for Anything

There are plenty of reasons why those of us who ride motorcycles are defined by it. Your motorcycle is an extension of yourself and you can represent who you are to the world. A common problem can be that the extension of self can be limited by the cash we can devote to it. There aren’t that many of us who can buy one bike for the street or the track and then another for off-roading, and even if you can, do you want to look at your garage and be able to say I have a motorcycle for every season and every hobby? If you are anything like me, likely not. I wanted to use the same motorcycle on the street as I do in the woods and handle itself on the highway on my way home. In winter, I was not going to be pushed off my bike. I am going to gear up with my leather motorcycle jacket and be able to get through the snow with the same confidence I had in the summer.

For me, that motorcycle had to be a part of me that never wavered. I don’t need to be seasonal leaving me in a sedan come winter. I want a motorcycle that will go where I want it to. You take the ninja 500, it’s good for the budget and with a bit of upgrading and customization, it can be as unique as you and your interests. That’s not to say that it doesn’t take work to get that level of customization, but for me, it has been well worth the effort.

For a budget motorcycle, I have found the ninja 500 is a solid choice as it is already reliable on the road and can get some decent speed. But you may need to make some customizations if you are like me and bigger than a teenager, you are going to want to drop the handlebars (seven inches worked for me), get rid of the front fairing assembly. This will be a good amount of work but is well worth it and can make it a motorcycle-built for an adult. Take your time and be sure to dry fit each piece as you go. The last thing you want to do is repair the electronics. With this done the comfort level for long rides goes way up.

If you don’t want to get that deep in that but need some versatility, one of the best decisions you can make is the Continental TKC80s. You might think overkill for a street bike but this will leave you driving through the snow with heavy ease. Of course, the real advantage comes in the spring when you take these babies into the woods and the mud. It isn’t a motocross, but it will see you through the rough patches beautifully. Just don’t make my mistake and leave your waterproof motorcycle pants or jacket behind. Get to Wicked Stock and get your gear straight because no matter how much time you put into building your motorcycle or how much money you sink into buying a brand new one, a sharp turn in the weather can leave you miserable if you aren’t geared up appropriately.

Personally, my next task is going to be to make this motorcycle more useful for day to day tasks because we all need groceries. This motorcycle has some pretty solid mounting points so I will be extending the platform off the back. Going to need a good welder to get this right for all the situations I am looking for.

Biker Chicks - What You Are Missing Out On

You will come across many different women in the dating world. Soft feminine women who need everyone and everything to be quiet after 8 pm, angry, loud chicks that will set all of your stuff on fire for the smallest misunderstanding, and career chicks can only meet you after 11 p.m. because her boss makes her stay late. So that’s why men should date every type of woman to know which one they are best with. There’s nothing wrong with dating different types of women as long as you’re straightforward with them and tell them that you’re not interested in anything serious if you are not. But you may not have to date any of these women at all. There is one woman out there who is an absolute treasure and who should be cherished like the Goddess that she is. That type of woman is the biker chick.

There is no one better in this world than the biker chick. She is her own independent woman who has opinions and a mind of her own. And if you don’t like that, she doesn’t care. She’s too busy jumping on the back of her beloved motorcycle and jetting off into the sunset. She makes her own money, puts gas in her bike, and can probably navigate her favorite areas better than someone who has lived in the area for 30 years!

Yes, the wild and free biker woman deserves a man who is just as independent and yet trustworthy and reliable as she is. She does not want anyone to keep her in one spot or tell her that she should give up on her dreams and do something more stable with her life. She knows that nothing is truly as stable as everyone says it is, so she might as well do what she wants. Don’t you come at her with that weak and shitty commitment either? She can see right through that. She can see through people with lines and weak Petty Edwards. And she will not entertain them. If you’re looking for someone to show pity on you, she is not the one to go to.

The type of girl doesn’t stay in one place for long, so any time that you have with her is precious. She can’t guarantee that she’ll come back and see you. This type of chick doesn’t want to stay in one place, and she realized long ago that she doesn’t have to. This woman is always clothed in some kind of leather, usually in a brown leather motorcycle jacket or a well-made pair of motorcycle riding gloves. Leather is her preferred material since it smells so damn good. She usually has makeup on, and there are days where she likes to have her hair up and style. However, her stylish hair only lasts until that helmet is on. Helmet hair is a thing!

So if you’re seeking this type of woman; independent, strong, can see through people’s lives, and wants to be what she’s destined to be, then you had better pick up your game. This type of woman does not go on walk dates, and she definitely will not go to a field that you know. She also doesn’t like it when men put in minimal effort and expect maximum rewards. That kind of attitude will have her back on her bike faster than you can say, “let me try again”. Once she grabs her motorcycle protective jacket and her mesh motorcycle pants, it’s over for you.

The biker chick is an elusive and protected woman, so if you’re not looking for anything that I just said, remove yourself from the biker chick’s life and don’t weigh her down. If you have the type of chick in your life and you want to get her a present, then go to www.wickedstock.com to find things that your woman will love and use.

Buyer Beware! What to Know When Buying a Motorcycle

There’s nothing better than buying a new motorcycle. Even if the bike is used, it is still new to you. And the new feeling that you love so much is even stronger if it is a vintage motorcycle that you have dreamt about since you were a kid. When you officially know you can buy the motorcycle of your dreams, the daydreams begin to flood your mind, and you are not able to stop thinking about it. There’s just something magical that happens when you finally have the motorcycle that you’ve always wanted. But it is important not to be foolish with your money and buy a motorcycle that is a dud. Some people are completely blinded by the love of their motorcycle that they buy it sight unseen and untested. So before you fall victim to a poorly-maintained motorcycle, you are a few things you need to know.

 # 1 Accident reports and motorcycle health reports

before you go to the motorcycle sellers’ home, ask them to send you any reports about the motorcycle. If they do not have these reports, then ask them to obtain them. If they do not have them, say that you will walk and buy a new motorcycle from someone else. These reports are important, and you should not leave the house before you see the motorcycle in person. If they refuse to give you a report and start texting you the history of the motorcycle, block them and find another seller.

#2 - Inspect it or bring a friend to inspect it for you

After the seller gives you the report, check it over and make sure you are comfortable with its history. If you are, text the seller and say that you would like to see the motorcycle in person. If you are familiar with motorcycles and their internal systems, you can accept it by yourself. But if you are not or this is your first time purchasing a motorcycle, take a friend with you that has been riding motorcycles for years. They will be able to help you, and they will know if the motorcycle has been maintained well over the years.

#3 - Negotiate a price

Yes, that’s right, now it is time to negotiate. This is the number one most hated stuff when purchasing a vehicle. It doesn’t matter if you negotiate with someone on Craigslist or an experienced car salesman at a BMW Outlet; everybody hates this step. Tommy accident report how well it’s been maintained, you can look up the price and how much your motorcycle should be. Then take that number and subtract 10% from it; that is your starting point. The seller will try to sell as low as possible you need to buy as low as possible. But negotiating is a necessity, so don’t take the first number That the seller says, unless it is the exact price you want.

#4 Purchase your motorcycle gear

Congratulations! Now that you have your new motorcycle, you can ride up and down the freeways and road rage of America until you run out of gas. And when that happens, just go back up and keep on riding. But before you plan your next road trip with your new bike, you must have the correct motorcycle gear to keep you safe and stylish on the road. I have a few pieces of motorcycle gear that I cherish very much. I own a motorcycle protective jacket, a pair of motorcycle riding gloves, Textile motorcycle pants, and biker vest patches I sewed onto my leather jacket.

Go to www.wickedstock.com to find everything you need to keep you looking good and will protect you from injuries when you get into an accident. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Fitting In Is For Car Owners

I have never been someone who easily fits in. I’ve never really understood why. I don’t believe I think differently than other people. I mean, I do have my thoughts and opinions, but so does everyone else. And I can usually meet one or two people that share my same views. But no matter how or how much I tried to fit in with everyone, I just couldn’t do it. I always made some kind of misstep that would derail my fragile goodwill among the new group. I used to lie awake at dawn and wonder why I am the way I am.

While I’m riding on the back of my motorcycle, I usually have a brown leather motorcycle jacket on. It feels comfortable, and it pairs well with my leather motorcycle pants. The leather keeps me warm on cold days, of which there are many.

But now, it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m different because I’m different, and that’s that. There’s no point in torturing myself over it and kowtowing to other people’s demands of what I should be. It took me so very long, but I can say this now, “I am different, and I love myself.”

No, I shouldn’t say that. I mean, “I’m different, and I love myself and my motorcycle.” A motorcycle has never once asked me to be anything different. Accepting myself as someone who just doesn’t fit in with others easily is one reason I acquired the motorcycle in the first place.

Ever since I got my motorcycle, it has been with me. It has taken me anywhere I needed to go. It has ever let me down. In exchange, I’ve never let it down. I always took good care of my motorcycle. Even if I had to go without some necessities in my life, I always made sure my motorcycle was maintenance and cared for.

For a long time, my motorcycle was the most stable part of my life. And now that I have friends that I can count on, I realize that the motorcycle wasn’t just a vehicle that took me from place to place. It was also a friend in my way.

Now, I have a few wonderful friends that I have finally found for who I will happily allow them to join me on the back of my motorcycle. They accept me for who I am, and I accept them. I do not have a list of friends on Facebook or Instagram. But that’s okay. It is like that saying goes, “I would rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies.”

When you free yourself and decide to embrace who you are and stop trying to fit in everywhere, you’ll be much happier with life and with yourself. To celebrate your newfound confidence in yourself, you go on a shopping spree and find the style of clothing that makes you feel like you’re expressing yourself.

But don’t just style up your regular clothes. Dedicate time and money to purchasing motorcycle clothing that shows who you are. Not only are motorcycle clothes inventive and how to stand out from the crowd, but they also keep you safe if you’re in an accident or if you are caught in the rain.

A great site to shop for motorcycle clothing is www.wickedstock.com. There are tons of different clothes that you can mix and match with, and there’s a lot of safety gear available as well. If I can recommend some clothes, you should consider purchasing a motorcycle rain suit, which will keep you dry and hot when you’re caught in the middle of a storm. Or if you’re looking for something small, a pair of black motorcycle riding gloves will never let you down.

Home is Where the Road is

All my life, I have daydream and dreamt of the open road, even when I was a child. Every time I gaze at a picture of an empty highway or roadway disappearing into a hilly Mountain, my mind would race. When I was studied in junior and High School, I would always choose the seat right by the window. While I was by the window, I would sit and stare at the Open Sky whenever I could. My mother would tell me that I was destined to leave home and wonder in the big wide world. She just knew I had to be free. And that freedom meant never-ending road trips and never staying in one place for more than a week.

I remember the first motorcycle jacket I purchased: a leather motorcycle jacket, which smelled amazing. I also bought a pair of motorcycle riding gloves that protect my hands from the constant wind.

So when I turned 20, I finally embraced my true destiny and bought myself a motorcycle. It wasn’t even a question of if I should buy a motorcycle or a car. I knew the moment finally saved up enough money for my first vehicle that I truly wanted a motorcycle. Motorcycles are far easier than vehicles to find a parking space for when you’re in the city, and it is easier to weave in and out of congested traffic. Sure, I won’t have as much storage space then if I had a vehicle, and I can only carry one being at a time. But these things did not bother me. All I know is that I wanted to be out traveling the open road, and I did not want to do it in a car.

Now that I have been driving my motorcycle for over five years, I know I made the right decision. During my travels, I learned a great deal about myself and the world around me. But I have learned I would never have encountered it if I had stayed home and went to college like so many of my friends. Now don’t get me wrong, college is a fantastic endeavor, and you are bound to learn things in college that you would never learn on the open road. But I knew it was not for me, at least not right now. Maybe when I turn 30, I will park my ass inside a classroom, but for now, I don’t think that’s going to happen.

The most important principle I learned while on the road is that as long as I prepare myself for the worst, the worst will never come. In my backpack, I carry with me the essential motorcycle items that I’ve needed. I don’t have as much space for my stuff because I carry these items, but I don’t think an extra t-shirt will help me when my motorcycle gets a flat tire. And the most significant purchase of my motorcycle riding career is, of course, AAA. Some of the riders that I ride with don’t have this service, and I’m always flabbergasted when I meet someone who doesn’t. They will come out to the middle of nowhere and pick up your busted motorcycle if you cannot drive it anymore or if it breaks down. That is an essential service that you need.

Part of the Independence that I learned was to wear the proper gear that will keep me safe. So when it rains, I put on a Motorcycle rain suit which goes over my leather biker vest. You never know when the rains will appear.

Not only has the road taught me to be self-reliant, but it has also trained me to spot others who need help. I know how to find people who are distressed because I was once in distress, and others helped me out of the kindness of their hearts. That is something I want to encourage among riders and vehicle drivers.

Well, I wanted to say what I said, about the open road and myself. I hope everything I said makes sense and maybe inspired you a little. Before you acquire a motorcycle of your own and take your first motorcycle riding class, be sure to have the correct gear. You should not ride your motorcycle in a pair of flip-flops and a tank top. You need the right gloves, jackets, and pants to protect you from the wind, the cold and the Heat, and the impact in case of a crash. And you can find all these things at
www.wickedstock.com.
