Water and Road Motorcycle Surfing – Which One is Good?

People love doing very dangerous or dumb stunts while they're in their car or on their motorcycle. There is just something about a massive engine rumbling just inches away from the driver's feet that causes the person controlling their vehicle to make split-second impulsive decisions. The foolish decisions they make at the moment are ones that they would never consider doing if they were watching another person do them on a Youtube video. The power of spontaneity is truly a drug.

Motorcycle Surfing

One very dumb but popular stunt to perform on a motorcycle is road motorcycle surfing. To do the stunt, the rider must be traveling on their motorcycle at a very high speed, and using their strength and balancing abilities, they quickly jump up and place their feet on the motorcycle seat. Then they position their body as if they're standing on a surfboard. It does look like they are trying to serve on their motorcycle.

Do you Need Motorcycle Gear for Surfing?

Many motorcycle riders love motorcycle surfing, and they must wear their best gear when they try to surf. This is usually because they will be filming their motorcycle stunts and they want to look their best. So, if you see a couple of young motorcycle riders wearing their best leather motorcycle jacket and a beautiful pair of motorcycle riding gloves, And they have a few biker vest patches on their jacket, expect to see the same group of riders going wild on the road.

Hopefully, they have on mesh motorcycle pants as well.

Just to be clear, road motorcycle surfing is dangerous for people of all ages, and it would be in every rider’s best interest to avoid it completely. But if there is anyone best suited for road motorcycle surfing, it is the young. So, if you're anywhere between 18-25 and you want to try out motorcycle road surfing, now is the time.

But there is a special crazy motorcycle rider out there that attempted The Impossible and did it. In 2015, the world's most confident man successfully surfed on a surfboard while also sitting on his motorcycle. That's right; you read that correctly. He placed his motorcycle on top of a surfboard and then surfed the waves of Teahupo’o.

Remarkably, this was not a drunken decision made by him one day. He designed several surfboards over three years and tested each design out on various beaches across the United States and South America.

Now that we have mentioned the amazing motorcycle Surfer, we also have to say this: please do not attempt to do this. Sorry to be a party pooper, but we care about our readers' safety, and riding a motorcycle on a surfboard does not seem very safe to us.  But if you're looking for a new challenge and a different way to get that rush, you can always try out surfing.

Choose Surfing

If you are interested in surfing, then there are several ways you can get started at a low cost. One way is to take surfing lessons and rent your stepping equipment until you decide that you want to pursue the hobby for the next few years.

While we have established that motorcycle surfing is a very foolish stunt, it is safe to say that most people don't perform it. However, that doesn't mean that they don't do other foolish things. You might be interested in knowing more about the Top 5 Motorcycle Events in the US.

Does Riding Practice Need Proper Gear?

Any rider that knows their way around motorcycles understands the importance of using proper gear. It is important to understand the benefits of wearing such gear, as well as the risks involved in not doing so. Even though motorcycle protective gear is such a crucial part of being able to ride safely some of us still find it difficult to consider it necessary in every situation. Gearing up properly can be a bit of an inconvenience and, because of that, we may feel inclined to skip on our protection from time to time. It is important to remember that this is always a bad idea. It does not take much speed at all to produce injuries that could be very serious without proper protection. After all, we do not think twice about adding a layer of protection against the weather.

Practicing is a very important part of developing the necessary skills to be able to take to the roads. It is crucial to be confident enough in your skill to handle your motorcycle by the time you can do so. That means that you should try to get as much practice time as possible if you are not already comfortable. You may be looking forward to a chance to wear your new and shiny leather motorcycle pants, but you may not be because it is important to pack your helmet and the rest of your protective gear.

In terms of risk of injury you are quite likely to get injured doing something that you are not good at, so not being the best rider in the world could translate into injuries if you are not careful. It does not take a lot to get hurt on a motorcycle if you do not know what you are doing.

It is also a good idea to think of it in this way: When you practice riding you should also practice all the habits that are worth incorporating into your riding routine. Using your protective gear will become second nature for you very fast if you just add it to the list of things that must be done before starting your motorcycle. Once that has happened you will be able to do everything fast and without effort, and it will be easy for you to hit the road fast and safely. Make sure when you get Rider Training – Do You Still Comply?

Does Protective Gear Save My Life?

All of the protective gear available is there to save your life or prevent serious injuries, we may feel that it is not necessary when doing short distances or during practice sessions, but those are often the times when we need them the most. Once your learning period is complete you will feel confident to start riding faster and do elaborate maneuvers, but until that time comes you should stick to the basics.

That means riding slow and safely to ensure that you can control the machine and not the other way around. You may even fall once or twice at first. It is a well-known fact that we as beginners are not very good at spotting the things that we do wrong, we just do not know any better. Until you have enough experience to tell the difference between good practice and bad practice, take our word for it and go to whatever lengths you must to ensure that you are using all your protective gear right alongside that stunning leather motorcycle vest. If you do you can count on plenty of years to enjoy your motorcycle safely.

Make sure to stop by WickedStock to check out all the cool items that you can get to match your protective gear.

4 Lies Motorcyclists Tell Themselves

Everyone lies to themselves once in a while. It is just our way of handling the issues and problems of the day. Some of these are white lies that don't hurt anyone.

For example, if someone is too tired to get gas after a long day at work, they will tell themselves that they can get gas in the morning and won't have to skip breakfast.

But they know that the gas station closest to their home is always jam-packed with people, so they'll have to wait 20 minutes or more to get gas. This means that they will have to skip breakfast.

In this case, the person telling himself is lying to himself. But they don't believe the lie. They are just too tired to do anything else for the day, so they have to tell themselves a white lie to get a good night's sleep.

Now, this lie won't hurt anyone. It may make them late if they don't skip breakfast, but that's all.

Motorcyclists tell themselves little white Lies too.

Unfortunately, if a motorcyclist tells themself the wrong lie, they could end up in a world of trouble. So here are some little white lies that a motorcycle should never tell themselves—only the truth matters in these situations.

1.      A helmet is a helmet. I don't need to buy an expensive one. Any helmet will do

I know that helmets are expensive, especially the high-quality ones. But do you know what's more expensive? Cranial surgery or brain surgery. A single 8 hours of operation, without anesthesia, can cost $300,000 and more. And you're going to want the anesthesia.

If you do not buy a good quality helmet that you would trust with your grandma's life, then you shouldn't be buying that helmet at all. When people buy motorcycles, they believe that the costs start and stop with the bike and the gas.

But gear is an important component of motorcycle riding. If you don't want to dedicate the money to purchase high-quality motorcycle gear, then don't buy the motorcycle. Don't rely on your motorcycle racing pants or your motorcycle jackets with armor to protect you. All motorcycle riders need a full suite of gear to properly protect themselves.

2.      Maybe it won't rain

Everyone, driver and pedestrians, tells themself these lies. It's just that we don't want the rain to ruin our schedule for the day. But if it looks like it will rain, assume that it will and wear your motorcycle rain gear. Your day will go much smoother than if you weren't wearing your motorcycle rain suit and you are caught in a downpour.

3.      That's a new noise, but it'll fix itself

Unless you are an auto mechanic student, no one likes to hear a new noise from their vehicle that they have never heard before. If you hear a high-pitched screeching or the noise of something scraping on metal, do not pretend like it will sort itself out. Your day will be interrupted as you have to take your motorcycle to the shop, but it's better than breaking down on the freeway.

4.      I can handle my alcohol well, so it is fine for me to drive home

I don't care how you have been riding; alcohol and motorcycles should never mix. Not only are you putting yourself in danger, but you can also injure or kill anyone inside or outside of the car. If you want to go out drinking, then organize a carpool or just take public transportation. Just think of it this way: if you drink and drive, you are far more likely to destroy your motorcycle, and it will take thousands of dollars to repair or replace it. And if you are not wearing a good helmet, you could end up in the hospital for months. Do you know the Motorcycle Safety Tips for Riding in a Developing Country?

It is so important to wear high-quality gear that protects you from your and other's mistakes. But we understand that additional costs are not something that the average person can factor into their budget and lives. So, where can you get great gear at affordable prices? You can get that Wickedstock.com. Check out their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts to see all of their latest products on fashion. Happiness on a Motorcycle – How Long can it Last if You Don’t Wear Gear?

The amount of happiness in a person's life is important to them. While it is impossible to have a life that contains only happiness and absolutely no sadness, most humans do their best to make their day better unless they are suffering from PTSD, depression, or some other chronic mental disease.

But that is not their fault. Those who are depressed or suffering from a mental issue should not be told that they should just look on the bright side. They also should not look at messages of unwavering positivity. Oftentimes, when a depressed person scrolls on a social media feed and is bombarded with positive happy messages, it makes them feel worse.

But happiness is a state that all humans strive for in their life. And one way people boost the amount of happiness in their lives by pursuing passions and hobbies. For us, motorcycle riding is our passion, and we love it dearly. There is nothing that makes us happier than jumping on the back of our motorcycle and riding down the open road at dawn.

What Does Happen to Your Happiness?

If you don't wear your proper gear, the happiness in your life will quickly drop, depending on the circumstances.

When a person who rides motorcycles does not wear the appropriate gear, they will encounter several issues and their good mood and happiness will take a hit. Before selecting any gear one should know What Not to Wear When Riding?

Without the proper gear for your hands, like a pair of leather motorcycle gloves, your hands will chap, rip, and blister, and you will be in pain until they heal.

If you are riding down the road and it starts to rain but you do not have motorcycle rain gear or a motorcycle rain suit, your clothes and your backpack will quickly soak and be miserable until you can return to your home or your motel and change your clothes.

But, by far, the most significant event that will reduce your happiness in your life on and off the motorcycle is if you are in an accident while you are not wearing the right gear.

Motorcycle gear is designed to protect your spine and organs from excessive damage. This does not mean that you are 100% protected while you are wearing motorcycle gear, but you'll be far more protected than if you wore a plain unarmored motorcycle riding jacket

So, if you are not wearing the right type of gear, like motorcycle jackets with armor, you could end up with injuries that are far worse than if you were properly protected. So, you should never compromise your health and safety. Motorcycle gear is important so please take it seriously.

But we know that most responsible motorcycle owners do not have to be convinced to purchase motorcycle gear. Gear is already something motorcyclists know all about. The biggest issue that motorcycle riders have when it comes to motorcycle gear is the cost.

As you may suspect, all motorcycle riders would love to have the best gear so they can look stylish and be safe while they're on the road. But the best gear usually has a very high price and not everyone has the cash to spend. So, what does a motorcycle rider need to do to buy premium quality motorcycle gear that will not drain their bank accounts? Well, the answer is simple. All we need to do is go to Wickedstock.com.

Wickedstock.com has all types of well-made motorcycle gear at inexpensive prices. Whatever you are looking for, you can find it on sale at Wickedstock.com. If you are interested, head over to their Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter or their website to see what the store can offer you!

Be Safe & Ride with Friends

No activity cannot be improved by involving your friends. When a person is with a group of people or even just one other person, they genuinely enjoy spending time with, whatever activity they do together is elevated. Together, you can share moments of joy and happiness, and conquer obstacles easier than if you were alone. Riding motorcycles is no different. Riding with your friends is enjoyable and playful.

But having a great time with one or five good friends has a few other benefits as well. Many of these extra benefits have to do with safety. It is always safer to ride your motorcycle in a caravan or with a few other people. When you are with your friends, you know that they will look out for you. If you happen to come across danger, at least you will not be alone. You should at least know the Dos and Don’ts for Group Motorcycle Riding. If your motorcycle breaks down at 2 a.m. while you are driving through a rotor freeway that does not have any streetlamps, you're less likely to be mugged or harassed by other people since you are with friends.

Encountering rain is one of the more difficult parts of riding motorcycles, so responsible motorcycle riders will have motorcycle rain gear ready for when the sky turns gray. But nothing can prepare you for the difficulty of navigating a wet freeway road, especially if it is packed with other cars who don't care about the motorcycle next to her behind them. But writing with two or three other friends will force cars and trucks on the road next to you to stay out of your way.

True friends will look out for you in all aspects. If you leave your brand-new leather motorcycle jacket behind, they will alert you or grab it for you, so you do not forget it. When you stain your favorite pair of motorcycle riding gloves, they will let you borrow your extra pair, so you do not have to damage your hand while riding.

If someone is trying to start a fight with you and they are bigger than you, then your friends can help you. And they will prevent someone from stealing your leather biker vest!

Another great reason to invite your friends for a motorcycle ride along is that you can share expenses. Friends can share meals, split the cost of motels, share buying snacks, Etc. Plus, there are plenty of travel deals out there that require two people. For example, if a single person were to buy a ticket to an event, it might cost them $100. But if there is a deal for two people, then both tickets together will cost $150!

If you don't have many friends right now or any friends that ride motorcycles, now is the time to make them. The summertime is coming, and this season will create new opportunities for you to meet with people you've never met before and form new friendships and bonds.

People show their love for their friends in a variety of ways, and one of those ways is gift-giving. Buying a gift for your friend shows that you think about them and think about their life in the future. If you have a friend who rides motorcycles as you do, then you can purchase them a gift card or a clothing item from Wickedstock.com.

Wicked Stock carries all kinds of different sizes, styles, and clothes so your friend will find something that they love. Just head over to WickedStock.com or their Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook store to find the latest fashions and an electronic gift card.

Motorcycle Mirrors - USE THEM!

Motorcycle mirrors are there to help all motorcycle riders navigate through the roads and freeways they travel on. All motorcycle riders needed to use these mirrors and the ones who do not are more likely to get into an accident.

The future of proper motorcycle usage and driving will not be in the hands of regular people like you would meet. Instead, companies are pushing to install software into all vehicles so they can monitor how well someone drives.

If you don't know what that type of future will look like, let me paint you a picture.

In the future, all motorcycles will be outfitted with sensors by their manufacturing company. The company will do this so they can monitor how often the rider’s eyes move. The more a rider changes their eye position and uses their mirrors to keep an eye on what's going on behind them, the better driving grade that rider will receive.

If the rider’s grade drops too low, the manufacturing company will lock the motorcycle and the person will have to take classes to gain access to drive their motorcycle again. This is going to be the world in 20 to 50 years. But for now, you can get another exceptional technology, the Motorcycle Ergonomics Simulator: How to Properly Fit a Bike to Your Body.

But until that day comes, there is no one monitoring how often the average motorcycle rider uses their motorcycle mirrors. Your passenger, your friends, and the other motorcycle rider next to you all trust that you are driving the right way and checking your mirrors often.

When the operator of a vehicle, whether they are in a car, truck, SUV, or motorcycle and uses their mirrors, you can check out everything that's happening behind you without having to turn your head.  So, you can get out of the way in case a semi-truck isn't stopping then you could check to see if you missed your offramp.

So How Often Should a Person Use Their Mirrors?

According to many driving manuals, the operator of a vehicle or motorcycle should use their mirrors every five to seven seconds.

This means a rider should use their mirrors 9 to 12 times a minute. Yes, that is how often you need to use your mirrors. The mirrors are there to protect you, your passenger, and all people on the freeway. So don't neglect them.

Plus, when you use your motorcycle mirrors, you can see how good or how bad you look. So, if you are a responsible driver and use your mirrors often, make sure you're wearing amazing motorcycle gear, so you look as good as possible.

As you look into the mirror, you can check out your beautiful leather motorcycle gloves, your old reliable leather motorcycle jacket. You can even watch raindrops fall on your motorcycle rain suit. Your biker vest patches will look stunning on your jacket.

If some of your clothes are looking a bit ragged and worse for wear and you notice it more and more every time you look in your mirrors, then it's time to get some new gear.

But some of you are on a budget, and you may not want to part with your hard-earned money since there isn't much of it. If this is the case, then you should go to Wickedstock.com.

They have an excellent selection of premium well-made motorcycle armored gear, so you can protect yourself in the event of an accident. On the site, there is a wide selection of vests, jackets, pants, gloves, and anything else a motorcycle rider needs.

And the best thing about Wicked Stock is that they have clothing sales regularly! So, head over to their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and check out all of the riders who wear their clothing every time they jump on the back of their bike!

How Does High Blood Pressure Affect Riding?

Nothing should keep a rider from the wild and spontaneous world of the open road. Most motorcycle riders do anything they can to keep their motorcycle in pristine condition so it's ready to go at a moment's notice. They change the oil, check the tires, test the battery, perform routine maintenance checks every three months or so, wipe off all of the dirt and grime from the surface from their beautiful chrome bikes daily.

But what are these same motorcycle riders doing to keep themselves in tip-top shape so they can explore the open road?  They’re not doing very much to maintain their health. As long as they can stay upright, see relatively clearly, and use their feet and arms to steer the motorcycle, a rider believes they're ready to go.

However, a person's health can affect their driving, their stamina, and how far they're willing to go away from their home.

One of the most common health conditions is high blood pressure and its effect on the human body can make it hard for some drivers, vehicles or motorcycles, to travel.

When a motorcycle rider has high blood pressure, it affects them more than they believe. High blood pressure is so common in the US and most Western countries, most people think that they can just adapt their lives to it and there will be no change in their lifestyle. But this just ain’t so.

If someone has high blood pressure, they won't be able to travel very far as well as become more tired. So, they'll suit up and put on their favorite leather motorcycle jacket and their favorite pair of leather motorcycle gloves, but they will return to their home in less than a few hours because they don't have any energy left to drive. Their brand new men's leather biker pants will stay in their closet, as they can no longer fit into the unrelenting fabric.

One treatment that plenty of doctors recommend is a water pill. The purpose of a water pill is to lower the pressure building in your veins by prompting your body to urinate more often which will remove excess water and excess salt.

While it sounds like a great solution, using a water pill is supposed to be temporary. However, most people view it as a solution and continue with the same lifestyle that caused them to develop high blood pressure in the first place.

Now, a water pill won’t affect a motorcycle rider’s driving, their vision, or their sense of direction, but it will affect how often they urinate. They will have to stop more often and if they're in a caravan, everyone will have to stop and wait for them unless there is a designated area where everybody meets at the end of the day. So, riders who take water pills will be less likely to join caravans or group ridessince they know they will not be able to keep up and it will slow everyone down. If you are a blood pressure patient, you must read about The Group Ride – How to Behave.

But remember that taking a water pill isn't supposed to be permanent. The right lifestyle and dietary changes can improve a person's health and cure their hypertension.

What Should You Do to Cure Yourself of High Blood Pressure?

       Exercise more often

       Eat more leafy greens.

Avoid Fried foods for a while.

Sleep at least 7 8 hours every day.

Lose 15 to 20lbs of excess fat.

Reduce the amount of alcohol you consume.

As you can see, the amount of effort needed to cure high blood pressure is not unreasonable for the average person. But most of these options are not easy to do while you are on the road. So, if you have high blood pressure, don't travel anywhere for about 3 to 4 months and dedicate that time to your body and your health. Clean up your diet, exercise every day, lose some fat around your middle, and then go back to the doctor for a checkup. In less than 1/4 of a year, you can be back on the road and disease-free.

And when you’re back on the road, you'll need a brand motorcycle wardrobe to go with your new body. You will need a new jacket, new pants, new clothes, and a new leather biker vest. So where can you get all of these clothes at an affordable price? You can find all these and more at Wickedstock.com.

Take good care of your health, and like us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
